Katie & I are participating in the Special Gifts Theatre 5K Your Way Encore!  I have been part of the Special Gifts Theatre team for the last four years and it's truly been an honor.  Special Gifts Theatre runs musical theatre programs for children and adults with special needs. We have programs in Chicago, Palatine, Libertyville and Winnetka.  For months students work with our wonderful staff of therapeutic professionals and thier mainstream peer mentors to put on a full blown musical for thier family, friends and community members.  The past eighteen months didn't slow us down, classes went virtual and our performances went off as usual but this time online.  It was a very successful year with 3,315 audience members that watched 7 performances from 31 states and 8 countries!  SGT is a non-profit organization and I can attest to the fact that the fees we collect from our students and peer mentors only cover 30% of the program expenses...and we never turn away a student for financial reasons, which is one more reason why I love this organization.  Please consider supporting Katie and I as we support SGT and all of its "Shining Stars"!
