This is my 9th consecutive season working with Special Gifts Theatre. I started as a mentor for SGT the year they put on a performance of Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. Years later, I was looking for volunteer work and reached out to SGT again. Eight seasons later I am now doing so much more for them. I started as a volunteer and am now Technical Production Project Manager and Production Coordinator at their Palatine location. I have enjoyed every season of SGT. It is a place to grow positivity, confidence and friendships. Those are not just for the special needs students and mentors that we serve. I have gained so much from the positive environment, grown my confidence and made friendships with coworkers that will last me a lifetime. SGT has helped me so much at a time when I felt lost in my career. I have met so many wonderful people there that I am proud to call friends.
